We will tell you what you need to make puffed cake and Popped chips.


The SYP Rice cake machine expands grains using heat and pressure to produce puffed cakes or Popped chips.


So the preparation of raw materials is necessary first.


1. Selection of usable raw materials

You can produce various products by selecting appropriate raw materials for the products you want to produce.


Ex> Gluten free products using rice or corn can be made, and breakfast cereal or children’s snacks can also be made with wheat, sorghum, barley, brown rice, buckwheat, etc. Also, using various food pellets, potato chips, beans, or sweet potatoes can be made into healthy snacks without going through the frying process.


Materials able to use

Rice, Brown Rice, Black Rice, Red Rice, Broken rice, Broken corn, Wheat, Barley, Buckwheat, sorghum, Adlay, Oats, Millet, Quinoa, Kiwicha, Canihua, Beans(mixed with other grains), Mixed Grain, Micro pellets

2. Preparation method of raw materials before use

After selecting the raw material, check the water content of the raw material and add the appropriate amount of water. (4-6 hours before, usually added one day before the next day use)


Reason for adding moisture

Moisture is one of the most important factors in expansion of grain.

Normally, 15-20% or more of moisture is required in the raw material. If the moisture is insufficient, the raw material does not expand, and thus the rice cake or chip can not be formed. Conversely, excessive moisture can cause the product to burst due to excessive expansion.


How to add moisture


1. Ready the raw materials

2. Put the materials in the mixer and measure moisture

3. Depending on the standard mixing table, check right amount of water

4. When you put salt of sweetener, melt them on the water first

(warm water might work batter)

(Sugar can not be used because it is going to stick on the mold)

5. Put prepared solution, and run the mixer. Move the mixture in to the

material container after turning on the mixer 2-3min.

6. Stop the mixer and wait for 5-10 minutes.

(Time for water to penetrate)

7. Turn on the mixer and operate it for about 1-2 minutes.

8. Stop the mixer and move the material to a plastic bag

or container (bucket).

>> The container (bucket) must have a cover.

9. Use after standing for 4 ~ 6 hours according to raw

materials. (Rice: 4hours / Corn, Wheat: 6 hours or over)

Since the mixer is used to add moisture to the grain, any mixer capable of mixing can be used.


Stop working when the water is thoroughly mixed into the grain, as mixing too long can cause dusting (powder).


And if the moisture permeates the grain to some extent and it does not clump together when you knead it by hand, put it in the grain container(bucket) below and close the lid to use it after 4-8 hours.

3. How to use "SYP Rice cake machine"

SYP Rice cake machine is designed to be easy for anyone to use. It can be operated with simple operation and the setting can be easily changed.

==============================================================

1, Before Operation

① Connect the machine to the Power

② Pump switch “ON”

③ Turn UP manual switch to close top and bottom mold.

④ Pump switch “OFF”

⑤ Temp. Setting

⑥ Heater switch “ON“

The mold is ready for preheating.

Wait for the mold to reach the setting temperature.

Preheating takes 20-30 minutes depending on the model.

(The raw material is supplied to the hopper.)


2. Operation (Auto)

① Pump switch “ON”

② Turn DOWN the manual switch to open the mold.

③ Operation switch “ON” (Auto mode)

④ When the mold temperature stayed at setting temp.

Adjust the setting if it’s necessary


3. "Stop" Operation

① Heater switch “OFF”

② Shortly after descent of mold, Operation switch “OFF”

③ Pump switch “OFF”.

Clean the core mold with the air gun and brush as soon as the work is finished each day.


About Puffed Cakes

Rice cake is made of round or square shaped products such as 80/85/90/95/100mm. (Square 80/85mm)


Rice cake is usually not seasoned, so it can be made simply by packaging it immediately after it is produced in the machine.

About Popped Chips

Popped chips mainly use 45mm round and are made as shown in the picture below using grain or pellet raw materials.


Seasoning is usually required, so it goes through the seasoning process (seasoning drum) after producing chips. And after packaging, it is commercialized.
